STRATEGIC PLAN
The Saltwater Child Care Centre has a Strategic Plan in place that focuses on developing and enhancing its six areas of action. The Strategic Plan, reviewed every five years, is driven by the Committee of Management and aligned with the Department of Education’s National Quality Standards These are the six areas of the Strategic Plan:
Staff Engagement and Wellbeing:
We continue to maintain high-standard employment conditions, a safe working environment, promote professional development, flexible working conditions, and develop future leaders
Children and Teaching Environment:
We provide high quality educational experience through a program that promotes long life learning, community involvement, diversity and inclusion, and responsive communication to parents
Premises:
The centre is well-maintained, clean and de-cluttered, is fit for purpose and allows for the centre’s full capacity to be realised, and incorporates sustainable and natural environments
Environmental Sustainability:
We commit to involving children in sustainable practices and improve sustainability at the centre through reducing waste and increasing the centre’s grown produce to limit our environmental impact
Financial Sustainability:
We commit to maintaining the financial sustainability of the centre through robust audit and accounting practices, expenditure in line with the strategic plan, an annual review of the Centre fees, ensuring sufficient cash to cover costs and learning initiatives
